Richmond United Football Club is excited to welcome everyone to the 2nd Annual Richmond Summer Solstice Soccer Festival, June 21 & 22, 2025. Last year we welcomed 73 boys and girls teams from across BC for a weekend full of fun, friendship and soccer! The Festival is for U8-U13 teams.

LOCATION:

The Summer Solstice Festival will take place at the Boyd and Minoru fields in Richmond, BC. Festival headquarters will be located at each site.

FESTIVAL FORMAT:

U8 (2017) = 6v6, 2 x 20 minute halves
U9 (2016) = 7v7, 2 x 20 minute halves
U10 “U11 Intake” (2015) = 8v8, 2 x 25 minute halves
U11 (2014) = 8v8, 2 x 30 minute halves
U12 “U13 Intake” (2013) = 9v9, 2 x 30 minute halves
U13 “U14 Intake” (2012) = 11v11, 2 x 35 minute halves

Two games each day whereby games are played within a playing block that lasts several hours. Games maybe scheduled anytime 9am to 7pm. Game scheduling is entirely dependent on the number of teams entered in a particular division.

Festival draws will be posted June 13, 2025.

Referees are provided for all games.

BC Soccer Small-Sided Rules are in effect.

Development 3  (house/recreational teams - competitive/select teams should NOT enter this division)

U11-U13

Division 1A, 1

Division 2A, 2

Division 3 (house/recreational teams - competitive/select teams should NOT enter this division)

Division 1A is higher than Division 1. Division 2A is higher than Division 2.

The Tournament Committee reserves the right to collapse divisions as required. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to cancel divisions without sufficient entries and where alternate placement would impact the competitiveness of a division, e.g., Division 3 team in Division 2.

U10 = $400

U11 & U12 = $425

U13 = $450

Early Bird Registration end May 4th (save $50 on above fees).

All players receive a Festival T-Shirt.

All teams entered will receive a $50 off voucher for the 32nd Annual Richmond Thanksgiving Soccer Tournament taking place October 11-13, 2025.

The Solstice Festival is a BC Soccer sanctioned event. All teams must be registered with a member club. If your team/players are not, you must complete a BC Soccer Short-Term Event Permit for each player. Please contact BC Soccer about this.
