2025/2026 Fall-Winter Open Development Program (ODP)

Welcome to RUFC's soccer registration for 2025/2026 Fall-Winter Open Development (Recreational) Program, for girls and boys born 2021 to 2008. As a Canada Soccer designated Quality Soccer Provider, all programming is in accordance with Canada Soccer Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) guidelines. This program is two times per week and runs from September 2025 to March 2026.

Soccer will start the week of September 8th and RUFC will be holding our Season opening jamboree - Canada Soccer Grassroots Soccer Fest - on September 13th.

Players born 2021 to 2020 (U5-U6) U5 Timbits and U6 Timbits will participate in co-ed age group based programming lead by RUFC staff coaches. Parent volunteer coaches are welcome to participate and encouraged to do so.

Players born 2019 to 2014 (U7-U12) will participate in team-based programming. U7 Timbits is co-ed. U8-U12 is separate boys and girls, however any girl who would like to play co-ed with the boys is welcome to do so. Players will be placed on teams coached by parent volunteers with RUFC staff coaches providing support at all sessions. Note that girls born 2014 (U12), 2015 (U11) & 2016 (U10) play on teams that participate in either the BC Coastal Soccer League or the South Fraser South League. Sunday game times vary.

Players born 2013 to 2008 (U13-U18) will be placed on teams (separate boys and girls) and participate in the BC Coastal Soccer League (involves travel outside of Richmond). There is one practice a week and weekend games (Saturday – Boys, Sunday – Girls). Teams are coached by parent volunteers with RUFC staff coaches providing support at practices. After July 15, players in 2013-2008 will only be accepted on a space available basis.

Practices/days time are NOT CONFIRMED until RUFC has received final field allocations from the City of Richmond (mid-August).

Field location is not known at this time. Fields will be artificial turf and grass.
